Once in a blue moon I find a Myrtlewood slab this big. In this case, I had the perfect client who wanted a large, exotic dining table for their custom riverside home.

We chose to mount the table on a steel frame to retain the shape of the wood and attach it to the reclaimed 1960s steel picnic table base.

 

The finished table comfortably sits 10 people and it's no surprise that the table has become the primary topic of conversation with guests.

Finished with food grade oil+wax and polished with beeswax.
